Sigrid Mitter was born in 1970 in Austria. She has been married since 1994 and has two daughters.

Education

In 1992 Sigrid graduated from the Academy of Physiotherapy in Steyr (Austria). Since 1992 she has been working in a large hospital specialising in Neurology and supervising physiotherapy students. Siegrid has a Physiotherapy practice in her hometown Bad Hall.

During the many years of working as a physiotherapist she continued to improve her skills in neurological approaches of therapy such as „Bobath“ and „Perfetti“.

In 2002 Sigrid enrolled to study Upledger Cranio Sacral Therapy and Barral Visceral Therapy. Following the successful completion of these programmes she worked as an assistant in courses for Visceral Manipulation in the Barral Institute Austria.

In her work Sigrid combines the approches of Global Joint Treatment of Jean Pierre Barral, the Muscle Energy Technique and the Mobilisation of the cranial and peripheral nerves.

In addition to her multifaceted education, she is a certified practitioner of „Akupunktmassage of Penzel“, „Klein-Vogelbach“ and „Sohier“.

Between 2010 and 2012 Sigrid worked as a teacher of Visceral Manipulation at the Barral Institute Austria. Since 2013 she has been an instructor for Visceral Therapy in the School of Visceral Therapy and Integrative Manual Therapy.

The many years of experience with patients with neurological diseases helped Sigrid to develop a new teaching course focused on treating these conditions by combining Visceral Therapy with neurology. For her it is important to apply this new effective treatment approach to the hughe variety of neurological diseases.
